Dr. Sofia graduated with a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Parma in 1980. She is a specialist in Clinical Oncology (University of Parma), Internal Medicine (University of Parma), and Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy (Univertity of Milan), 1981-1994.
Dr. Sofia has served as the vice-chief of staff in the Departement of Internal Multidisciplinar Medicine, General Hospital of Crema (1982-2001) and at the General Hospital Fatebenefratelli Oftalmico of Milan (2001-2016).
Her clinical focus is on the diagnosis and treatment of internal pathologies in the clinics of Gastroenterology, Proctology and Hepatology, and within the hospital emergency ward.
She has been involved in clinical research activity involving gastroenterology, liver disease and internal medicine and has several publications in national and international scientific journals. She is a member of Italian Society of Digestive Endoscopy.
