Dr. Larson Paya holds a double degree in Clinical and Health Psychology from Vita-Salute San Raffaele University.
She studies at the Italian Society of Relational Psychoanalysis (SIPRe), using an approach that considers individuals in their complexity, and values the relational dimension as an essential part of the therapeutic process.
She works as a clinical psychologist with adults, children and adolescents.
Dr. Larson Paya has enriched her professional background through clinical activities and research experience in Italy (Ospedale San Raffaele: http://www.hsr.it/) where she learned how Circadian Rhythm Chronotherapy is used for the treatment of depression and sleep disorders. Furthermore she has also studied the importance of the psychoanalytic approach in treating personality disorders in inpatient and outpatient settings.
She has spent long periods abroad, in places such as England (Cassel Hospital London: http://www.wlmht.nhs.uk/cs/cassel-hospital-services/), Spain (Hospital San Paul Barcelona) and in South America (Argentina and Brazil: http://www.hsaorafael.com.br/ ). Her interest in immigration and related issues has allowed her to work as a clinical Psychologist for adolescents at Niguarda Ca' Granda hospital (http://www.ospedaleniguarda.it/strutture/info/neuropsichiatria-dell-infanzia-e-dell-adolescenza), where she works with interpreters from all over the world (Chinese, Arab, south- American, African...). This interest has also permitted her to work at "Redancia group”, a therapeutic community for international adolescents.
